Car Alarms: How to disable a 98 Trooper Anti-theft system, alarmtek, isuzu trooper

Question
QUESTION: The factory alarm on my 98 Isuzu Trooper goes off randomly and I want to disable it.  I removed the fuse but that does not affect the alarm.  How do I completely disable or remove the alarm system?

ANSWER: Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: The owners manual of a 98 Isuzu Trooper indicates that the "anti-theft" system is optional equipment.  The fuse box in the left kick panel also has a slot for the [option] anti-theft system.  The far left side of the dash has a red LED light labeled "anti-theft."

When the system goes off, the horn honks in about 1 second intervals.  I have never looked at the dash to see if there are messages.

ANSWER: The alarm would disble along with the door locks.
Usually it's key in the drivers door,
turn left, then right to disarm and unlock.
You can achieve this also with a remote or
keyless entry. There is no single
wire to splice into and ground on this one.

Now, if the alarm is after market,
and it's detecting a vibration/shock
and triggering, then locate the sensor,
turn down or off to correct it.

Hard to say from here, but that's
how I would determine which you have,
and how to disable it.

I hope this helped some.

QUESTION: I may not have been clear about what I mean by disarm.  I want to be able to lock my car without activating the alarm.  If there is a procedure for that, please indicate.  Otherwise, please tell me how to disconnect the alarm.  Thanks

Answer
No that's not possible with the factory system.
This system is integrated into the door lock mechanism,
so the only way to disarm it is to have a remote keyless
entry added to it, or go to Isuzu & aquire a factory remote.

Sorry about that.
