Car Alarms: 2-way remote starter not recieving response, replacement remotes, joe cassidy

I bought a THOR 2-Way LCD Remote Starter/Alarm System from ebay about a year ago, I know it is a cheap system, but searching around I found the same problem I am having can be found in alot of 2-way systems.

Problem:
Everything works fine except for the remote is not receiving a signal from the 'BRAIN' telling me the status of the system (doors locked/unlocked, whether the vehicle is running or not. etc.) Now I did some searching and I see this is a problem with other system like VIPER as well if you drop the remote this will happen. Well Does anyone know why this happens or how it can be fixed, obviously something must be broke inside the remote. But also in my case my system has (2) 2-way LCD remotes and neither of them work so I don't think it was a fault of mine that caused it not to work.

In all other case the person had to get a new remote. But I cannot find a replacement remote, I have tired to contact the person I bought it from (ebay) to no avail.
