Car Alarms: fusion f 2000 alarm, resident technicians, shock sensor

Hello i have a fusionf2000 installed in my 84 bmw 3series but it stopped working like three years ago. it stopped unlocking and locking the doors. My question is if i bought another f 2000 system and just swiped out the brain and the shock sensor and relay? would it work again? The new systems only twenty bucks.
