Car Alarms: remote start quit working, 2007 pontiac g5, warranty plan

QUESTION: I have had my 2007 pontiac g5 for a little over a year.  Just this week the remote start quit working.  You can hear everything turns on like the fuel pump but nothing ever happens. Everything is working fine.  Also wondering if it has anything to do with cold weather

ANSWER: Is this an after market remote starter or
is this the GM remote start system?

I may be able to assist on the first option.
The second will need GM to decypher.

QUESTION: it is a factory remote start not aftermarket.  but any help that would lead me any where would greatly help

Nope, wish I could, but GM will need to look at
it under the warranty plan. There are no
schematics for troubleshooting these systems
for after market applications.

Sorry about that. But it sounds as if it's a
defect that would be covered by Pontiac since
it's less then a year old. They should repair
it at no charge.
