Car Alarms: Car Alarm Sensitivity, microwave sensor, shock sensor

Question
Could you tell me how I would adjust the sensitivity of an Astra 777 alarm?  I was told by a friend it could be done with a screwdriver. My alarm is set off by stereo systems, loud engines, and mufflers. It also seems to go off by itself when no one is around. It goes off completely flashing lights,  honking horn, sirens. I figured I would try to adjust it before having it removed and replaced.

Also I would like to add a microwave sensor to my current alarm system.  Can this be done,  or would I have to buy a new system all together.

Do I run the risk of false alarms with a microwave sensor if someone gets too close to my car? Would I have to leave the sensitivity on high in  order for the microwave sensor to work. My car is being vandalized.  I need something that goes off when the car is being touched.

Answer
The shock sensor does have an inset screw to turn
up and down the sensativity. Counter clock wise is down.

The microwave sensor is actually preffered over the
impact sensor as it only detects movement.
Not vibration which has a tendency to false.
The port on The 777 can take the motion sensor the
same way as the included shock you have now,
or can be spliced into the current wiring, using
diodes, to use both. But in your case, set the
motion correctly, and that will do the trick by itself,
and the door triggers that were installed finish off
a decent system.

I hope this was usefull.

Good eve.
