Car Alarms: checkmate alarm - disarm, resident technicians, there some sort

Hi - I'd like to disarm the auto lock after 1 minute feature. We now have a child and this feature frightens me. I like the remote entry part of it, but just need the auto lock feature shut off. It also is connected with a car alarm. Is this an easy fix and is there some sort of code I need to do it?
