Car Alarms: immobilized van, dodge grand caravan, 2005 dodge grand caravan

Question
Hi there.

I used the wrong key yesterday to start my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. After realizing that, I got the correct key and started the van. It started just fine but the back wheels would not move. The window of the driver's side has a symbol on it that says "safeguard protected". I assumed the anti-theft system had kicked in and immobilized the van. I disconnected the battery but that did not fix the problem.
I would appreciate any help
regards
Mazen

Answer
You will need to tow it into Dodge to
have the "smart key" reset before anything
can or will happen.

It is in full protect mode now. Nothing
you can do to get it to move on it's own
I'm afraid. Call the service department
at the local Dodge dealer for the first avail
appointment.

Sorry, Not always the answer you want to
hear, here. :>(

Good luck with it.
