Car Alarms: python alarm, valet mode, optonline net

do  not know the model of the python alarm in our avalanch. It was installed after market. 4 years old. Here is the problem. there are two blue lights which when the alarm is activated go on. 1 at each front door. There is no remote for the alarm. When it was installed it was hooked up to the keyless door lock for the vehicle. When you locked the car with the factory remote for the door locks to lock the locks chirped and the blue lights wen on and the alarm was activated. now and then I had to re-set the alarm because the blue lights were always on. I have a button on the driver side in the fuse box that i used to push and turn the key on and all went well. my wife last week dropped the tailgate and set off the alarm. she started pushing all the buttons on the remote for the car and in doing so the alarm stopped. So did the blue lights, so did the chirping of the door locks when you lock the car. The alarm still works though but it goes off if you hit the horn button on the factory remote. I have forgotten how to re-set it. Someone said it was in the valet mode???. The original installer is out of business. I have tried to contact python on the web but no one answers. Help if you can.
