as soon as I insert the key the alarm starts, horn blows, headlights flash, engine will not turn over

Answer
The key may have lost it's programming.

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm or, key in the ignition,
turn on and reset it.

You can not fdo either.

Contact Land Rover for instructions to reset
as there is not quick fix to do so.
