Car Alarms: Passive Disabling Device, acura vigor, fcc id

Question
I just bought a used 93 Acura Vigor GS. It has a Viper alarm with remote start already installed. I am trying to find out if the alarm is considered a "passive disabling device" for insurance purposes. The back of the remote reads as follows:

"FCC ID: EZSDEI476
RPN 476V 266 CODES"

How can I find out if this is a passive disabling device?

Answer
If you close the door, and the alarm arms itself,
this is a "passive" system. If you need to arm / disarm
with the remote only, this is Active arming.

If the alarm is armed, you set it off, and you
can not start it with the key, it has starter
disable with the alarm. If not, you don't.

This would be in the feature settings section in
the manual. I don't supply that here.

Good luck with it.
