Car Alarms: what alarm, hydrolic pump, trunk pop

Question
can you please explain the diffence between 3 channel and 4/5 channel security system, and optional keyless entry
thanks dave

Answer
Sure.
A Channel is associated with the function
buttons on any given remote. The channels are outputs
designed to give a ground output, whether momantary,
like for remote starting an engine, to a latched
or timed ground for rolling up windows, trunk pop,
PTO control, like a hydrolic pump etc.

Then they are assigned to the corosponding button
on any given remote.

The system that offers more outputs is designed
to control many of these types of devices.

Ok, on the "Optional Keyless", this usually means the
relays for adding some door lock applications are
either built in, or come with the kit.

It also means that you do not have to install
the keyless entry to use the security features.

I hope this helped.

Have a Happy New Year!
