Car Alarms: 1999 Honda Accord security alarm malfunction, honda service, three doors

Question
I have a 1999 Honda Accord sedan and the key fob no longer locks/unlocks my car but the trunk release on the fob works fine.  When I use my key to manually unlock or lock from the driver's side, it randomly sets the alarm off and since my fob doesn't work, I really don't have a way to reset the system.  If I use the key in the passenger door, the alarm ALWAYS goes off.  In addition, when I am inside the car and use the door lock toggle switch to lock the doors, the driver's side lock does not engage and the other three doors lock.  However, if I push down on the lock itself, then all four doors lock.  The fob has a new battery.  This has been going on since I bought the car in 1991 and the dealership has not been able to fix the problem.  Extremely frustrating and embarrassing when I'm standing out in the freezing cold with my car alarm going off and no way to reset it!!

Answer
Conflicting dates. It's a 1999 Accord
and you bought it in 1991?

But the advice here is contact Honda about they're alarm.
This is not an after market issue which is my specialty.
You would need Honda service's input on this malfunction.

Good luck with it.
