Car Alarms: car alarm question, mitsubishi eclipse spyder, spyder gs

Question
I recently read your response to a customers question on how to reset an alarm that is going off on a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS by turning the key in the drivers door to the left and then to the right....my question is I just recently purchased this model of car and I am wondering how you arm the "factory installed" alarm since the car did not come with an owners manual?

Answer
By locking it with a key, or the remote it came with.

If no remote, keep in mind this system is integrated
into the door locking mechanism. The physical action
of locking/unlocking, arms and disarms the "factory"
system. If you add an after market alarm or keyless
entry, this would open an close the circuit too,
and arm disarm accordingly.

That's what I know about this system.

Enjoy!
