Car Alarms: Sidewinder Alarm Problems, car alarm, keyless entry

My Car alarm has been acting up recently. A few weeks ago my alarm was set off. Since then every time I used to keyless entry it honks four times (as if it had been set off) and the LED light on the dash flashes continually. Today I went to open it and the battery in my remote seems to be dead. I am at work and really don't want to set it off while I am trying to figure this out!! Any suggestions?
