Car Alarms: 98 Chrysler Cirrus Alarm, chrysler cirrus, dodge chrysler

Question
I recently got a Cirrus and do not have the remote to operate the alarm. The alarm seems to have set itself and I can not start the car. Is there a way to disarm the alarm and get it to start again. I hear about a switch under the dash but can not find it. Do I need to take any part of the dash apart to get to it.

Answer
You need to aquire the remote. There is no quick way to disarm a factory system in this car.

If it were after market, There would be an
overide switch, but this car needs some
relay work to disable the OEM system.

I'd contact Dodge/Chrysler and have a new
remote programmed. This would be the best
and least extensive fix here.

Good luck.
