Car Alarms: Resetting my Alpine SEC-8027, subaru outback, resident technicians

My 1998 Subaru Outback has an Alpine SEC-8027 car alarm which has been working fine. The battery in the car was replaced, and now the dash lights and clearance lights all flash on and off constantly if the lights are not turned on. The key fob still seems to work properly. I have no manual for it and can't find one on the web. How do I reset it?
