Car Alarms: Disconnect Alpine 8027, jeep cherokee, resident technicians

Question
We have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee with an Alpine 8027 alarm system installed.  The system is not working properly - it goes off spontaneously, cannot be reset by turning keys in the locks, cuts-off the engine, will not respond to the valet switch, etc.  I want to just disconnect it, but have no manual or wiring diagram.  Is there any way to simply permanently and totally disable the system?
