Car Alarms: 1997 Honda Alarm Malfunction, remote transmitters, alarmtek

Question
Hello,
I drive a 1997 Honda Accord with an anti-theft system.  Recently the alarm system has been doing something strange.  Whenever I use the remote to unlock the doors the alarm system will beep once.  When I use the remote to lock the doors the alarm system will beep twice.  Because of this system, doors must be locked and unlocked using the remote. Using the key will set off the alarm.  However, the alarm system has never before beeped while locking or unlocking the doors using the remote.  I do not have a separate manual for the alarm.  Is something wrong with my system?  If so how can I fix it?

Answer
Try to identify the remote system you have and get the manual so you can trouble shoot this issue.

Sites like www.keylessride.com.
www.keynfob.com , or www.remotes4you.com
provide replacement remote transmitters,
and can be helpful in IDing yours.

Sorry about that.
Good luck with it.
