Car Alarms: 96 Taurus Factory Security Kills Engine, negative polarity, factory security

Question
After 3 tows and replacement of keys, transceiver and PATS module for EEC test codes B1600 and B1602, I was told that there are no other known causes of the engine killing on startup with the red "theft" light flashing, no other lights or horn activation.  I see on a goog search that the door pins can cause Ford Security problems.  What else can be done and can I have the system deactivated permanently?  Also, who would be best to help me out in Mpls area?

Answer
The PATS is the cuprit, but if Ford can not disern
why it's not working, I can't either.

The bypass only works on a WORKING system.
Your's is not, so I have to answer no,
I can't help on that one. My expertise
is in remote start and momentary bypassing
of these kinds of systems for that purpose.

The door pins are part of the factory system yes,
b ut unlikely to be involved with the PATS.

But one thing to try is to take out the factory alarm
from the equation here.

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
pink/white  at the driver kick panel and is
negative polarity.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the OEM alarm functions entirely.

Let me know if it corrects Fords "better idea".

Good luck.
