Car Alarms: remote start antenna problem?, ford taurus, caralarm

Question
I installed a mars omega 22 in a 1999 ford taurus. It went in fine. All the functions work lock/unlock/remote start, but you have to be real close(50 feet or less) to vehicle for the antenna to pick up signals. Fob has brand new battery. I have same unit in another car and you can be hundreds of feet away and it starts. Could the antenna be bad? or something else

Answer
Have you tried repositioning? Could be too low.
Could be a crimpped wire etc...

I'd inspect for crimps in the line,
and move it into the window
glass near the top, and off of any lead
based window tinting, metal etc...

If no joy then, contact the folks
at you nearest OMEGA (www.caralarm.com)
systems dealer for replacement.

Good luck with it.
