Car Alarms: Ford Fiesta T Reg Anti Theft Alarm, ford fiesta, high pitch

Question
I have a T reg Ford Fiesta, and the battery seems to have died in my decoded key. I replaced the battery but it does not open/lock the car - which is fine as I can do it with the key.

However, when it's cold in the morning, using the key to unlock the car seems to set the alarm off - and I have to fiddle around locking/unlocking the car until the alarm stops and I can get in. The doors open and I can even start the car - at which point the alarm goes to a high pitch squeak. Is there a way to turn the alarm off? Why doesn't the key which opens the doors/starts the car turn the alarm off when it's cold?

Please help!

Answer
No unfortunately, according to the notes,
the door locks and security system work in unison.
One needs the other to operate correctly.
Yours is now prone to temp changes, which over
time does happen.

You will need to repair the door lock system, meaning
the remote needs to be reprogramed if possible.

That's how Ford "keeps it in house".

Sorry, no easy fix here.
