Car Alarms: Mercury Villager 1996 Wireless Remote 3075, mercury villager, amp meter

Hi, my Mercury Villager 1996 sudenly stopped to respond to the keyless remote.  The remote part number is 3075 (according to other website). Remote batteries are good, 3V each, each can supply 100mA in a short circuit via a amp-meter. The remote keyless is ok, contacts clean, etc. The doors lock/unlock works ok at the door keypad. Alarm is working, trying to open the engine hood with car locked, alarm sounds off, requiring to open the door manualy with the key to shut it off.  This car went through 2 engine removal, with more than 30 days with battery disconnected, it may lost the keyless programming at the car side.  I can I reset it?
