Car Alarms: Disconnecting a Viper alarm., brain box, dash area

Question
I have a 91' s-10 blazer with a viper 600 alarm.  The remote has been destoyed and I need to change my battery.  I'd like to diconnect the alarm for good as I've never used it in the 8 years I've had the vehicle.  Can I just pull the fuse on the power source, or do I have to cut and re-splice?  If so, which wires?  I don't care if the brain stays in the vehicle as long is it' not connected.

Answer
Nah,
Locate the brain box of the 600
under the dash area to the left of
the steering column most likely.
Then unplug all harness just to be safe, and
tape/wire tie off.

Then toss the alarm.
It's ca ca anyways.

That's the safest way to terminate.
