Car Alarms: engine crank wont start with the remote starter, chevy s10 pickup, gm passlock

Question
I have a 2002 chevy S10 pickup and i just installed the automate remote starter and alarm and can not get the car to start with the remote.
The engine will crank but will not start.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Answer
This vehicle has the GM Passlock II immobilzer
anti-theft system. A bypass is required to circumvent.

I suggest the PLJX bypass kit to get around
this issue.

This Passlock Bypass Module is designed to momentarilly
allow the engine to remote start by sending a proper
coded pulse to open the fuel rail passlock injector
cut off circuit.

The output from an alarm/remote starter
would then shut down the pulse, once it has detected
the engine has engaged, and preserve the integrity
of the passlock system.

That is it's designed purpose.

In your case, this input wire on the PLJX module,
goes to a momentary ground pulse from the designated output on  your alarm/remote starter.

The PASSLOCK would then be bypassed
momentarilly to allow the remote start
function.

Also, this is a self learning, resistor sensing
and adjusting module.

Once the VATS wires have been tapped,
you would press the program button to learn,
and it does.
