Car Alarms: AUTOMATE AM1 - TOO SENSITIVE, valet mode, infiniti g35

Question
Hi -

i just bought a used Infiniti g35 with Automate AM1 installed with the factory FOB.  the alarm chirps all the time like the shock sensor is too sensitive and sometimes the alarm is actually tripped.  do you know how to adjust th sensitivity down?  also, when i put the car into valet mode, shouldnt it stay in valet mode until i exit valet mode?  it seems to reset itself in afew mintues.  also, how do i turn off passive arming?  thanks

Deryck

PS - what do you suggest for a remote start system?  should I get a whoe new alarm with remote start, or just add remote start to my existing system.  also, which brands and models are reliable.  thanks

Answer
The best thing here Deryck is to
replace it if you do not have the manual on this.
Also, I like the combination unit like the
Galaxy 5000 rsw 2 2way (pagingalarms.com).
And of course, this will need a bypass module to get it
to remote start.

But essentially, you will have all control,
long range, and something you will understand
and be able to have and use more features
all the way around.

If you can locate the shock sensor under the
dash area, simply unplug it untill ready to
extract the brain box & replace/Upgrade.

I hope this helped some.
