Car Alarms: 1998 Acura 1.6 EL respone, security light, car horn

It's a factory alarm. Headlights flashing and the car horn honking with the SECURITY light flashing.

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing
the following:

1) Find the green/yellow
unlock wire at the factory alarm.
2) Cut the wire and place a diode inline
with the stripe away from the factory alarm.
3) Tap between the diode and the factory alarm
for your disarm without unlock..

This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.
