Car Alarms: 1999 ford mustang has theft light blinking and wont start, alarmtek, ford mustang

bought a 1999 ford mustang 2 weeks ago and it gives me problems to start because the theft light won't stop blinking. Now i haven't been able to started at all. Can you tell me why the alarm won't deactivate?

Answer
Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?
