Car Alarms: Car alarm, haynes manual, adavance

Question
i have a 1998 cobra.  I bought from my brother, there was a gray and black (joined) wire hanging from under the steering wheel...he said it was to add a kill switch, so this morning i disconnected and tried to start car.  It started so obviously not for a kill switch.  i reattched the wires and went on about my business...So i go to start car later and it wont start...Theft light flashes in dash, the exterior lights falsh(no horn) the light eventually goes off as do the exteriors but still wont start...lights up like a x-mas tree but no turnover.......So is there a way to reset alarm?...did i trick the alarm to think it was stolen?...i disconnected battery for 30 mins hoping for memory clear, but that didnt work.....the gray and black wire i traced to the Black box up under dash to the blue port side...(nothing in the white port)...it is a factory alarm and my Haynes manual says nothing...Please help if u can...if i need to take it in to dealer to have it rest correctly is there a way to disable so i can drive it?...thats'all...thank-you in adavance...Jay

Answer
Sounds like an excalibur alarms overide button.
Try key on, press and hold the btton in
until you get a reaction from the alarm,
then key off. The car should be in overide then
and the starter kill relay disabled.

The car should start at this point.

Hopefully this applies to this car alarm.
Try it an see.
