Car Alarms: changing flat battery on a jeep cherokee, jeep cherokee, jeep dealer

Question
I changed the flat battery to a new one on my Cherokee but could not start it afterwards with the key and the immobiliser is just flashing a red light but could not even lock or open doors automatically the dash is not flashing at all.I'm stranded what can I do to start the car or lock it I have got a long journey to take.Pliz help!

Answer
Not alot I can offer here. That has to be
reset/re programmed at your local Jeep dealer.
There's no quick fix here unfortunately.
When the vehicle battery was removed,
the key's programming to the ignition reader
code-memory was wiped.

Sorry, it's blank, and Jeep needs to teach
the remote and reader to communicate with each before
the car's engine will start. There will be a modest
charge to do this.

Sorry, wish the news was better.

Good luck with it.
