Car Alarms: Security system does what?, factory security, overide

Question
Have a 1995 Maxima that dies then wont run. Cranks ok but no run. after a while it will start grumpily.
My Question is what is the security system supposed tto do? I can lock the car. Wait awhile. Reach in a window as if i broke it and unlock car. Upon using a key it will start. Is there a time delay before the anti theft kicks in? Does it affect crank only or the spark also? How is the light supposed to act?
THanks this has us baffled. No run but appears the security system is not protecting the car.

Answer
No, the alarm works with the door locks,
but shows no immobilizer listed in the notes.
Since the locks and "factory security" are in
the same module, there is no quick fix.
No wire to ground or snip.

As far as I know, it honks the horn, and
flashes the headlights, and that's that.

You may have an after market alarm with a starter kill
relay, but here's the rub with that idea...
..if engaged, the car engine simply would not crank.
Nada. Nothing. Not even a spark.

If you think this may apply, look at the
past posts on valet overide, and try it.
