Car Alarms: VIP RS3000, power door locks, sensor circuits

Question
I recently installed a VIP RS 3000 alarm system in my 1998 Rav4. However, the 2 button remote will not arm the system. Although if I hold the top button down for more than two seconds it will set off the panic mode. Also, if a door is open it will sound the continuous beep for 10 seconds or until the door is closed. When you turn the ignition switch to on or start the power door locks will lock. When you turn the ignition off the power door locks will unlock. Every programing feature that is attempted is acknowledged by the system as the owners manual indicates. The only thing that seems to be the problem is the system will not arm either by the remote or passive arming feature. What could be the problem?

Answer
The alarm may be in a service or overide mode.
Check the manual on how to toggle in and out of
valet overide mode and see if that resets it
to monitoring the door triggers and shock sensor
circuits, and then sounding the siren.

If not, I'd contact the seller of the device
for some aftersale technical assistance.

Good luck.
