Car Alarms: alarm/starting problem, inertia switch, fuel pump relay

Question
Alarmtek ... i have had some MAJOR inconveniences with my son's car recently. Bottom line ... it won't start with regularity. sometimes yes, sometimes no. the fuel pump itself, and we have a new one, makes a wining noise before starting on the occasions when the car does start. if the fuel pump doesn't "chime in" on when we attempt to start the car, it won't start. so far we have replaced the fuel pump relay, the fuel pump, and the fuel pump inertia switch. the car is then driven for a week or ten days and then we start having intermittent starting problems. and of course, when it starts, there is nothing to speak to the service folks about! this is a 95 ford explorer that has had numerous owners. it has an alarm system on it that we as the current owners have never used, never want to use, and know nothing about. it has a red led that stays lit and always has. could this be our problem?  should we take it out? if we should take it out, anything we should be sure to instruct the alarm tech to do (we're not taking it out ourselves...) thanks in advance for your answer!

Answer
No the alarm sounds like it's in sevice/valet
overide now. I suspect a mechanical or fuel injector
syem problem, but I think you can discount the
after market alarm on this one.

Time to visit a mechanic for the rest I think.

Good luck with it.
