Car Alarms: Mazda blue blinking lights, madza 3, blinking lights

I am security at a huge resort. Encountered a Madza (3 am)and it had 4 small blinking lights, one in each front and back lights.  Is this some type of security system?  No one here seems to know...Thanks for your help.

More than likely they are added on "hyper" leds
that are used in congress when a car alarm is
armed. It is a customized set up from the sounds of it,
but have a look at www.12voltplanet.com and you will see
what I am thinking you have there.

Just a more elaborate visual theft deterent.
