Car Alarms: Alarm system o Beetle 2000, manual key, best bet

Question
The remote key on my factory fitted alarm system stooped working . As soon as i use manual key , the alarm goes off randomly . Sometimes when opening door , somethimes when starting ignition . The key security on dashboard is blue and lighted

What do i do ?

How do i open the remote key to check for battery?

VW's are problematic. Your best bet in this
case unfortunately, is at the dealer itself.

They will reset the alarm and then reprogram your
key for you while you wait.

I wish I had better news, but even I
have to go there when my own 99 Passat 20T
needs ANYTHING!
