Car Alarms: Disable Factory Alarm?, alarmtek, honda accord ex

Hi, we have bought a 99 Honda Accord EX. The remote could not open the Driver's door lock and the factory alarm would go off almost every night. We changed the actuator, and the lock works perfectly with the remote, but the alarm still goes off some nights. I was wondering if you have an idea why it goes off, and also how I can disable the alarm. (I am not sure it this is relevant, but the car was not it has had an accident on the Driver's door). Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.
