Car Alarms: I dont have a certificate for my car alarm, alarmtek, insurance firm

I have just purchased a 2nd hand mitsubishi lancer complete with a clifford cat 1 car alarm fitted but no certificate, I have now been advised by my insurance firm that I need this certificate to get insurance - What do I do?
