Car Alarms: Prestige system 2002 explorer, car alarm, alarm system

I bought car for my daughter and had this alarm system on it. Occasionally the door will not unlock with remote (always locks with the remote). It makes all the chipping, flashing, etc. and even hear the click like it is going to un-lock. You finally have to use the key to get in but the alarm will not sound like you think it would. It will then start working again as normal for the next several times. Any idea why this happens?

No idea Mike without an inspection.
Take it to a local car alarm shop and
explain this to them so that they
can reproduce the issue, and see why
it's intermittent.

Wish I could help more, but for this, it's a
hands on thing.
