Car Alarms: Clifford XL500, alarmtek, locked doors

Question
I bought an Acura Integra from someone a year ago.  I discovered that the car had an alarm system installed.  After much trial and searching I found the brain (and remote.)  It is an Clifford XL500.  The valet switch was damaged (I had to replace it) and the 5amp fuse was blown (I replaced it as  well.  The Clifford wiring manual and the Owners manual were great helps!)

When I replaced the fuse the alarm came on immediately.  I used the remote to turn it off.  I tested the remote and everything worked!!!  It locked the doors and everything.  Then I started the car and drove to the store.  When I got out the car and tried to lock the doors with the remote nothing happened.  No chirp...no locked doors.  I proceeded to put the car in ON mode and flipped the valet switch.  Nothing happened, except the alarm light on the dashboard turned on and off.

I popped the hood took the fuse out again and put it back in.  The alarm went off again, and I again disabled the alarm with the remote.  I spent 10 minutes playing with the buttons testing all the modes to insure that it was working, and it was.

I drove home and tried to lock the door with the remote and it didn't work!  I went through the process of pulling the fuse and everthing work again.  Any ideas?
