Car Alarms: Avital Mark 3 not working in Prelude, alarmtek, champion mark

I have an Avital Champion Mark 3 alarm installed in my Honday Prelude (94) and after the battery was disconnected and subesquently reconnected the alarm no longer works.  In fact the LED no longer funtions, nor does the alarm chirp, lock doors, or anything.  If anyone has any ideas as to what I could do to fix this I'd appreciate it.
