Car Alarms: 1997 mercedes e420 remote start, crazy germans, starter wire

Question
autopage rs900lcd installation into a 1997 Mercedes e420
12volts red @ ign. sw. 2 of them
ignition pink/red @ ign. sw.
ignition 2 pink/yellow @ ign. sw.
accessory pink/green (small 18awg.)@ ign. sw.
starter purple @ ign. sw.
all are positive of course.
Here's the big question normally when you induce 12volts into the starter wire w/ the key on the starter will turn over, except those vehicles that have a 2nd starter wire but this vehicle only has 1 starter wire. WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THIS?????? also with the key off. normally if you induce 12volts into the ign. wire or the acc. wire the a/c or radio
circuit will be activated.  I can't seem to figure out how the remote start will correctly start the vehicle if this vehicles ign. system does not work like most American,Asian, and mostly ever car out there?????  Those crazy Germans.  HA! HA! HA! by the way I am German born in the good old USA.  can you answer these questions??

Answer
Yes you do need the second starter wire:

Ignition 1  YELLOW  (+)  PSC/ECU MODULE
TO THE RIGHT OF GLOVE BOX PIN 35 OF 40 PIN PLUG
Ignition 2  LIGHT BLUE  (+)  PSC/ECU MODULE
TO THE RIGHT OF GLOVE BOX PIN34 OF 40 PIN PLUG
Accessory 1  GREEN  (+)  PSC/ECU MODULE
TO THE RIGHT OF GLOVE BOX PIN 11 OF 40PIN PLUG

Starter 1  BLUE  (+)  PSC/ECU MODULE
TO THE RIGHT OF GLOVE BOX PIN 15 OF 40 PIN PLUG
Starter 2  LIGHT BLUE  (+)  PSC/ECU MODULE
TO THE RIGHT OF GLOVE BOX PIN 17 OF 40 PIN PLUG

This vehicle requires a transmod bypass to do remote start.
Please get a universal bypass and have a spare key
made to be able to remote start. This is why
your readings are irratic. Without
the bypass, the system shuts down as you described.

Tough car to remote start.

Good luck. You might want to contact the
people you bought the system from for technical
support as I am limited here as to installation
services that I will provide to my non equipment
buying customers & questioners.

But I do hope this clears it up a bit.
