Car Alarms: Pursuit Pro 9244 Security Alarm Entry Point Problem, competence level, fuse box

Question
QUESTION: I have the above system on my 98 Corolla. When I arm the system, I hear three chirps instead of one. The owners manual tells me this indicates an entry point (doors, hood or trunk) is open. But they are all closed. How do I determine which point is to blame? Should I arm the system and in turn open each point, and the one that doesn't trigger the alarm is the faulty one? Once I determine which one is the problem, then how do I fix it? Thanks for your help!

ANSWER: Ok, the red/white |-| instrument cluster or
Also found at the fuse box. There are at
least 5 red/white wires at the fuse box,
some will only pick up individual doors,
meter them to find the one that will get
all the doors, it will be the one that
goes up to the instrument cluster, it is in
a 12 pin plug on the back of the fusebox.
For domelight supervision use one of the
individual door triggers.

This fixes this issue.

Good luck.

QUESTION: Thanks. I am strictly a novice at this.I don't understand your answer. Can you state it again in language a third grader would understand? That's my competence level in all this. Thanks again!

Answer
Ok, basically the door trigger wire is incorrect.
Correctly connected, this
allows the Pursuit alarm to detect any door
from opening, and then trigger.

Yours is currently only detecting 1.

First remove the green (-) wire from the
alarm from where it's currently connected.

Then, If you go to the exact wire I stated
in the last letter, at the exact location, with
the green (-) door trigger wire from the alarm,
you will solve the falsing issue you are having.

If unsure, please don't do it yourself.
Seriously, not a big deal, but if it's
not something you are comfortable with,
pass it on to a pro.

Simply take it to any after market
stereo/car alarm store to effect repair &
re alignment.

Should'nt be too expensive for this procedure.

I hope this was clearer.
