Car Alarms: 2002 Ford Escape Alarm System, ford escape, alarm system

I recently put in a new CD player in my 2002 Escape.  One night after that I unlocked the door to it and the alarm went off.  Now my remote does not work, and I cannot unlock or lock the car without having the car on, aside from doing it manually.

I think this is a problem with my alarm system, and I need to reset it.  If I am correct, how do I do this?  Thanks alot.

Take it back to the installer and have him
reset the factory alarm He apparently
disabled the battery when putting in the CD player
and seems to have triggered the alarm.

If not able, get it over to Ford and have service
do that for you.
