Car Alarms: K9 Car Alarm Problem, shock sensor, trunk light

Question
I have a K9 Classic alarm, It arms or disarms well. But the problem if that after I arm it the alarm starts sounding between 5-10 minutes after being armed! It keeps happening like this. Is there any way I can check what is the problem and how do I solve it?

Answer
It appears the alarm is detecting an open circuit of some sort. Best suggestion is to first,
locate ANY power source in the car that the
alarm can detect (an open door, trunk
light on, anything that can show a measurable drain
on the battery.) and turn off or unplug.

Also, locate and unplug the shock sensor, as it
may be set up too high.

That's a good place to start your search.
