Car Alarms: power doorlock button, keyless entry system, cadillac deville

Question
I recently purchased a 91 Cadillac DeVille with an Omega K9-6ATV2 security system.  The alarm seems to be working correctly however, the original equipment power doorlock buttons do not work. I have tried using the OE lock/unlock buttons located on the doors when the alarm system has been in  armed/disarmed/valet modes and with the ignition both on and off but the lock/unlock buttons will not function.  Does the alarm system typically override the normal operation of this function?  And, is there a way to get it working again?

Thank-you for any help you can provide.

Answer
It's likely the old Cady door lock switch burnt
out earlier then the added keyless entry system.

If you replace the switch itself, you will probably
regain the use of the manual button function.

From the sounds of it, the prior owner decided
to just go before the switch and add keyless
instead of popping for the cost of an
OEM replacement switch.

Go to a junk yard and see if you can find one.

Good luck.
