Car Alarms: 1999 Camry Alarm, car alarm, electrical system

Question
Our car alarm has been going off between 9:30p.m. and 11:30 p.m. every night for the last month. When I go outside there is nothing there and the alarm is not sensitive enough to go off if a cat jumped on it. Can you tell me what you think it may be? Thank you.

Answer
It's entirely possible that the alarm you have
is also sensitive to someone else's in the
neighborhood, and they come home between those
times. use they're remote & set yours off.

It's also possible that there is a spike in the
electrical system between those times, but unlikely.

Anyway to move the car to another location and monitor
times? At least for a couple of nights to determine
if the first thought could be it?

Best thing here is to try it, and if not,
discount it as the trigger and move on to
reset/repair.

Let me know what you find out.
