Car Alarms: 93 MX-6 built in security system, mazda mx 6, window regulators

Question
QUESTION: I have a 1993 Mazda MX-6 that has a built in alarm system and the system used to go off if I unlocked the door from the passenger side but since I replace both window regulators now it goes off if I unlock it from the driver's side, which locks and unlocks both doors which the passenger side does not do.  The only way to shut off the alarm once it goes off is to either pop the hood and pull one of the fuses that goes to the ignition or to lock and unlock the passenger door, both of which are getting to be a pain as I don't need to unlock the passenger door for anything.  Any input would be great!

ANSWER: Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: Yes, this is a built in factory alarm system with all this Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing going when I unlock it from the drivers side but unlocking it from the drivers side is the only thing that sets it off and I am using the same key I have always used that was given to me by the car lot.

Answer
Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
yel/rd or lt grn/blk|-| in the drivers door harness or,
at the factory alarm disarm wire, built into the fuse box.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.
