QuestionI seem to not be able to arm my car alarm sometimes. Acts like the battery is weak in the remote, have to get very close to the car to arm or disarm it. Tested the battery cleaned the contacts but no change on either of 2 remotes i have. This is what came on the car from the distributor the transmitter id is elvat5g maybe from audiovox. Anyway to reset it or do I need a new transmitter?
AnswerI'd say the trouble is the antenna
placement on the alarm brain box.
But if it's this old Rob, I strongly
advise that you update/upgrade the system to
meet your requirements and standards.
You'd just be patching up a failing alarm
system that would be best left to die.
