Car Alarms: Matrix 10 Car Alarm Problem, clifford matrix, 12 volt

I have a Clifford Matrix 10 (I believe this is the right #) car alarm on my Jeep Liberty. For the past few days the alarm has not been working properly. It has a new battery. (Changed twice now.) It will not do anything. It seems as though it cannot "find" the vehicle. It had the same beeping sound when I would try to lock/unlock/remote start from too far away in the past. What can I do to restore it?
