Car Alarms: how do I use my viper alarm, 12 volt, viper alarm

I just bought a Dodge Dakota 1999 and it has a viper control.... what is it for.... I was messing around with it and an alarm went off... I also found out it starts the car, and locks and unlocks the car. What button does what...
