Car Alarms: checkmate model kd-150, protocol fo, checkmate system

I just purchased a 2002 Rav4 with the "Checkmate Model kd-150 Keyless Entry Upgrade Security System".  The system is armed in the passive mode which is driving me crazy.  Do you know how I can get it the the manual mode.  I called one place that installs alarm systems and they were no help.

No sorry. I don't know the protocol fo the checkmate
system, The only folks that may be able to help here
would be http://www.autotechs.com , but they specialize
mostly in replacement remotes, not alarm feature
settings or how to change them.

Try to locate a checkmate website if poss.

Someone there may have it onfile.
